LandServer

Sustainable conceived LandServer (formerly the Spatial Land Registry) to serve as the front end interface to the Bay Bank. Together with the Pinchot Institute and the project developer, The Other Firm, we developed LandServer to allow private landowners to easily map their land. This allows them to generate a report that includes information on the propertys' natural resource composition, its eligibility for traditional conservation incentive programs, the ecosystem services the land is providing, and the landowners eligibility for engaging in both existing and emerging ecosystem service markets.

LandServer is currently live at www.landserver.org

LandServer was developed thanks to funding from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, the US Forest Service North Eastern Area, the Delaware Forest Service, and the EPA Office of Water.

We are working collaboratively with The Pinchot Institute to expand the geographic coverage of the tool.  The remainder of the Bay States will be online by late fall 2010.
